Terry Urban – Weezy/Black Sabbath mashups
You may have heard of Terry Urban from “The Press Play Show”, a show that he and Mick Boogie host on Sirius Radio (or like me, you know him from the amazing Chip Tha Ripper mixtape, The Cleveland Show). He is currently working on an album blending Black Sabbath and Lil’ Wayne which will be called The Carter’s Sabbath. These are the first 2 tracks released from it, and so far I like what I’m hearing.
The first track, “Sweet John,” combines “John” by Lil Wayne and Rick Ross with Black Sabbath’s “Sweet Leaf.” The second song, “A Mobbin Man,” mashes Lil Wayne and Gucci Mane’s “We Be Steady Mobbin” with Black Sabbath’s “Iron Man.” As a huge classic rock fan, I was very pleasantly surprised to see how well the Sabbath songs worked in these mashups.
