One of my favorite albums of all time is I’m Wide Awake It’s Morning by Bright Eyes. A couple days ago, Mac Miller put this song out, a cover of arguably the best track from an outstanding album. It’s pretty cool to hear Mac go acoustic, but not as good as the original, and not much changed other than a different person singing. Either way, if you’re a fan of either artist then you should definitely check it out.

This mixtape came out today from one of my favorite up-and-comers, Dunson, and it is an absolute MUST-HAVE. I haven’t liked an entire mixtape this much all the way through since I listened to Logic’s Young Sinatra. This was sponsored by ThisSongIsSick, so I’ll let him explain it for you – all I can say is listen and download this immediately:
Dunson, the D.C. rapper who’s got a smooth laid back sound mixing rapping and singing. This follows up Dunson’s first mixtape Creative Destruction 2 under his old moniker Kenton Dunson. We already sampled the tracks “Used To Know (Ft. Gotye)” and “Count On It” off this tape. It’s 12 songs all with smooth vibe, with a range of production from chilled classic hip-hop tracks to going in on electronic tracks like Madeon’s remix of “Raid Your Weapon”. All of the tracks have Dunson’ smooth hip-hop style, really showing how far he’s come as an artist. This tape even features an official collaboration with John Legend on “Cross Town Lovers”, which is one of the highlights of the mixtape. The entire thing is a great listen through, and we are very stoked to be sponsoring the project. Download the whole thing, turn it up, enjoy!
Well it’s been a while, but we finally got some new music from And The Giraffe to share with you. Long time followers will most likely remember their Something for Someone EP, which is still one of my favorite things I have ever posted on here, or you may have heard a couple of the songs in my Audio Hangover Cure playlist. If you haven’t given them a listen yet, then the Underground Love music video is a great place to start. This newest track is a cover of the song Darling (Reprise) by Magic Man. Give it a listen and download below.
