One of the best live albums ever recorded.
beat is crazy. #NeverBrokeAgain
After finally releasing his first album in seven years, Justin Timberlake decided to drop the accompanying video for the album’s second single, “Mirrors,” as well to commemorate the special day. The astonishing visuals portrays an elderly couple reflecting back on their lives and love, along with all of the struggles and obstacles they encountered across the way. Everything is not exactly as it seems though, as you’ll later find out.
Through this truly touching piece, Timberlake is able to depict a stunning and sentimental tale that’ll bring the the most cold-hearted individuals close to tears (however, as ninjas we don’t cry, so we can’t exactly vouch for that). For those of you that still haven’t grabbed a copy of JT’s new album, The 20/20 Experience, head over to iTunes to make sure you’re not missing out any longer.

Pretty Lights has climbed his way to one of the top electronic acts in the country, yet has only in the past 2 years been playing massive EDC, Electric Zoo, and Ultra Music Festivals. Well this past weekend he let loose his soulful beats on Miami knocking them down to their knees. He played an incredible mix of his older tracks and some of the new unreleased tracks off his long awaited next album. He sounded like no one else at Ultra and managed to leave everyone who witnessed his set blown away
Pretty Lights – Live at Ultra Music Festival (Miami) 16.03.2013 by Killingbeats.Com on Mixcloud
In this episode, we celebrate legendary producer J Dilla, who has worked with The Roots, Common, Erykah Badu, Janet Jackson and A Tribe Called Quest. Then we join musician friends J. Rocc, DJ Spinna, Frank Nitt and Grap Luva in Detroit to open Dilla’s storage locker, which has remained untouched since his death.
“Rhythm Roulette” is a new web series from our friends at Mass Appeal. The concept: get a producer – in this case, the multi-talented Justin of Party Supplies – blindly pick three records out of a record store and see what kind of goodness he can cook up by feeding what he found into the sampler. Based on Justin’s work with Action Bronson and Danny Brown we’re pretty sure those records are in good hands.
Kendrick Lamar is getting the ultimate co-sign from one of hip-hop’s greatest. Jay-Z has jumped on the official remix to “Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe,” which Young Guru previewed during his set at SXSW in Austin, Texas. The good kid, m.A.A.d city cut contains new bars from Kendrick and a verse from the “God MC” Hov.
“Look inside of my soul and you can find gold and maybe get rich/ Trinidad James in four weeks, but now my album platinum and shit,” raps Kendrick before throwing it to Jay.
“Told you motherfu**ers all I do is ball/ No, I don’t remember you, I don’t intend to,” quips Mr. Carter.
Get a first listen to the remix before the full version drops.
Not that it was unexpected or anything but it’s now confirmed that Pretty Lights upcoming album will indeed be the shit. Whether or not the new track “The Day Is Gone,” which was created for his NYE shows at Roseland Ballroom in NYC, will be included on the album is anyone’s guess. All we know is that we can’t wait to hear more from one of our favorite producers, and hopefully he’ll be bringing some of his massive production at this year’s Bonnaroo. See you guys in June.
